Apple Memory Upgrade

It is possible to safely upgrade the computer memory on almost any PC. But like in any other procedure, some factors will influence the type of memory you buy. Every make of computer probably uses a specific type of memory and it would not be advisable to mix just any memory you come across provided it is higher in amount than what you currently have. Even if you do not find this information, the technician selling the memory to you should be able to help you out if you tell him your computer’s properties.

Apple laptops mostly have two slots for memory although some makes have only one slot. Some have a minimum memory requirement which comes with the laptop and some don’t. The standard memory should never be removed but you can add on to it depending on your usage. However, there is a maximum amount that can be supported in any given model. When adding Apple memory in pairs of SDRAM SODIMM, ensure that the two chips are similar in every aspect, that is, size and type.
